Very simple, easy to learn controls.

Awesome detailed sprites for the nes, large colorful backgrounds, and a lot of different tilesets.

Some of the best music on the nes, or ever made. It has some of the catchiest, atmospheric music you'll ever hear.

Sound FX: 4
Realistic sound fx for the nes, including explosions, beams, animal noises... etc.

Plot: 5
You control Samus Aran, an intergalactic bounty Hunter from Earth. Her mission in this game is to kill the space pirates, Ridley and Kraid, destroy the metroids, and finally kill the mother brain.

Difficulity: 4
Like most games, Metroid starts out easy and soon becomes more frustrating as you advance further.

Replay Value: 5
With Metroid, you'll want to beat it the best way possible by getting all items, and beating it quick enough. Of course the game is very fun and addicting too.

Over All: 5
Overall, Metroid for the NES is a great title with awesome graphics, great music and sound, a cool storyline, and much more. This is a title you'll definitely not want to be without.
