In Coleco's SMURF RESCUE IN GARGAMEL'S CASTLE, treacherous Gargamel has captured Smurfette. He keeps her trapped on a shelf high above his laboratory floor. The little blue dudes in Hanna-Barbera animation entertained me for weeks while I waited for other shows to come on. And what better to make a video game for the Atari than to rescue Smurfette? Cool fact: Smurfette was actually created by Gargamel in an attempt to take over the Smurfs. But it backfired and Smurfette stayed with the Smurfs. Another cool fact - she originally had black hair.
