A surprisingly fun skateboard game for the Game Boy, Skate or Die: Bad & Rad has plenty of high-speed action and is challenging enough to keep you occupied for quite a while. The several stages alternate between a side-scrolling platformer style, where your job is to pick up points and avoid obstacles, and a down-hill obstacle course where speed is king but death awaits the careless. There doesn't seem to be a lot of story to this game. You have enemies as well as obstacles, but you don't really know who they are or why they want to hurt you. I guess they're just jealous of your mad skating skills!  |
